Were the Judges Bias?

inland performance on the recent Eurovision competition is something which took me by surprise! Actually for the couple of weeks the competition ended, I have not been myself and still not recover from the shock. This is what has prompted me to come out with this article and ask “Were the judges bias?”If not, then why?
Actually, I have asked many of my Finn friends this questions but everyone says, the song was not good. But personally I disagree with them. Are they trying to tell me that “Lose control” was the worst music in the competition? To me, it was not bad but their position was influenced by the vote. And that is where the problem lies.
This means that, the group performance is a true reflection of Finland current position in terms of popularity in the global market. Despite the political stability in Finland and good technological advancement, Finns are somehow reserved and it is high time they open up.
If readers will agree with me, most countries voted base on the good relationship they have with the other but that was not the case of Finland. Almost all their neighbouring countries disown and disappointed them. This is where one must ask himself, why should it be so? And one must not tell me they were objective in voting. No!
Frankly speaking, “Lose control” by Waldo people was really beautiful and has some messages in it. But in spite of this, the result was not encouraging at all as I have already underlined, even to we foreigners. However, I don’t think I would be bias enough if I attribute this failure to ineffective international integration between this loving country and its member states.
Finland needs to improve on their social interactive skills, and learn to develop how to relate with foreigners and mix up with different social groups. And one of the best ways to achieve this is by encouraging tourism, attending international seminars and conferences among the youths. This would be an avenue to meeting people of all cultures, and build a good image relationship with one another.
According to the opinions sampled from eminent citizens in the Varkaus municipality, Finns does not like to leave the shore of this land especially the youth. If this is true, how would people know more about this country, what they have to offer and other good things of the land? It’s not only by watching TV, listening to radio, going to club and reading news papers that would make people know about this country, but it is also through personal relationship that would create a true image and cordial friendship between Finland and other countries.
Besides, the way forward is for such loving relationship to take off right within the local communities, institutions, and also in working environments whereby Finns start to build a friendly atmosphere with their foreign counterparts. With this, a new face of Finland will emerge, and the outside world would now appreciate this country better than before.
