Students of Savonia set Oscar Family Club ablaze with happiness

One could imagine the kind of joy and happiness that filled the Oscar family club house when the leadership of the Students Union of Savonia Ammattikorkeakoulu organized a party to officially welcome all fresh students to our prestigious school.

Actually, Kokonsa couldn’t believe his eyes to see the number of fresh men and women, both skinny and fatty, short and tall, beautiful and ugly, who trooped there that night to have a taste of the enjoyment that filled the hall. As usual, nothing happens in Finnish clubs without “Olut” being crowed the queen of the night and its fans were not disappointed that night. It really boosted them to thrown shyness out of window to dance their waist off to climax the day. I don’t know if Kokonsa allowed the glass to pass by him but I reserve my comment now! hehehe.

My dear readers, I wish you were there to witness by yourselves the variety of display by the ERASMUS students. What a beautiful dance by the Chinese queens and Kings! Oh my God, it’s always good to be a student! What a world! Different nationalities and it own style of dance. mmmh

One thing most of the fresh students found it interesting were how the Finns were eager to learn about them when they were little bit suck with Olut, even though these people never open up to them on campus. I nearly laugh when I noticed the surprises on their faces. Yes, that is the so called Finnish shyness. I will l congratulate Mr.Olut for building such confidence in these people to open up and socialized. That is what is expected of them.

Well, on that note, Kokonsa will congratulate the leadership of SAVOTTA, for this great party. It is one of the best of its kind I have witnessed so far but to me more must be done to entertain the students instead of always going on the Finnish way of entertainment .Because it is the only thing that can make them feel at home.

Shalom!

Hello!

You have a great blog and you made a lot of good points in this one. Specially about the "finnish shyness".

I would like to point out that the party you mentioned was not arranged by SAVOTTA but rather by the local student organizations Watra ry and Waio ry. Watra is the representative of the business side students and Waio represents the engineering students in Varkaus.

SAVOTTA did organize the huge student event in Kuopio called Kauppakadun Improbatur, but we aren't responsible for the student events in Varkaus. I have to admit that SAVOTTA isn't usually seen much by the school students as our main work is done in different workgroups, meetings and with other student organization around Finland and with SAMOK.

So you should give your thanks about the party to them rather than us. :)

Keep on writing!

Sincerely yours

Mr. Juho Konkka

Chairman of SAVOTTA
