Hello good readers, your humble servant, kokonsa has been silence for the past
one month because of his participation in the ongoing strawberries picking
competition at Leppävirta. The competition is gradually coming to an end and
so far only five teams are still maintaining their position in the semi
final stage, thus African united, Russian babies, Estonia eleven, Chiness Fc
and Indomitable lions of Bangladesh. Suomi youngsters fails to qualified for
the semi finals when they were slashed down by 11 goals to 0 by Estonia
eleven in the early stage of the competition.
This year strawberries picking competition between the two traditional
strawberries rivals, Russian babies, the defending champions and African
United, at Leppävirta stadium is a different of its kind in the history of
straw berries season.
As a matter of fact, Experience they say is the best teacher. The tactical
play being demonstrated by the Russian babies at Lappävirtä is a real blow
to African united. I wish readers are there to witness the kind of skill the
Russian babies used to pick the straw berries. Oh my God, before Kokonsa
could pick one basket, the weakest player of the Russians side had already
picked 20 baskets without feeling any back pain hehehe. But the singing and
chanting by the supporters of African united has always prevented the babies
from scoring more goals.
So far the manager of Suomi youngsters have expressed interest on the skipper
of the African side Frank Ashmah and see him to be a potential for the team
.Speaking to the manger in an interview, he expressed his confident in the
skipper and promised to pay any amount to get him to his team. Because if he
could make 50 to 60 baskets a day then the future of his team is assured by
this player. But inspite of this offer, African united is not willing to
hand over their skipper since it will be a stab to the heart of the team.
As the competition comes to an end, kokonsa will like to express his
indebtedness to the employment office and KD party for helping the Africans,
Chiness and Bangladesh students in Varkaus for getting this summer job. I
believe by the end of the competition everybody will have something to
survive with as school re-opens on September. This shows how foreigners are
dear to their heart but Kokonsa hope this gesture by KD and employment
office will continue to enable these students to get something doing to
survive them in their education.
Shalom !
